Job summary

Resource Recruitment are seeking a Credit Controller for a long-standing family-owned business in Poole, Dorset. You will manage customer accounts, chase outstanding debts and support cash-flow performance while delivering excellent service.

The role is permanent, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00–5:00, with duties including issuing statements, reviewing creditworthiness and liaising with sales to resolve queries.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit control and debt collection.
• Strong organisational and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Outlook and accounting software.
• Customer-focused, proactive and resilient.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and collect customer debts, prioritising accounts to minimise risk.
• Act as main point of contact for customer account, invoice and payment queries.
• Hold regular meetings with sales teams to resolve credit issues.
• Review and assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
• Prepare and issue customer statements, overdue reminders and reports.
• Manage reconciliations, customer portals and EDI.
• Monitor credit limits, credit holds and high-value invoices.
• Support month-end invoicing and provide team cover when required.
