Juice Recruitment is supporting a well-established business in Gloucester to recruit a Credit Controller for their finance team. The role focuses on owning the sales ledger, chasing outstanding payments, and ensuring cash flow reliability.

You will manage customer accounts, monitor aged debt, resolve invoice queries, and maintain accurate records. A proactive, organised approach and good Excel/Sage knowledge are essential to succeed in this busy team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a credit-control or accounts-receivable position.
• Excellent communication skills and a confident, professional telephone manner.
• Ability to manage customer relationships while taking a firm and proactive approach to debt collection.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting or finance systems.
• Experience using Sage would be advantageous.
• Ability to prioritise a busy workload, meet deadlines and work collaboratively within a team.

Responsabilités

• Managing a portfolio of customer accounts and proactively chasing outstanding payments by telephone and email.
• Monitoring aged debt, agreeing payment dates and following up on outstanding commitments.
• Investigating and resolving invoice queries, working closely with internal teams and customers.
• Issuing statements, copy invoices and supporting documentation as required.
• Allocating and reconciling customer payments to maintain an accurate sales ledger.
• Maintaining accurate customer records and credit-control documentation.
• Escalating overdue or disputed accounts where necessary.
• Preparing regular aged-debt reports and providing updates to management.
• Supporting credit checks, new account set-ups and credit limit reviews.
• Identifying opportunities to improve credit-control processes and procedures.
