Job summary

Lyreco UK and Ireland is seeking a Credit Controller to join the Finance team at the Telford Head Office. You will manage an assigned portfolio, collect overdue balances and collaborate with internal teams to resolve questions while minimising bad debt.

The role requires confident communication, strong numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. Experience with Excel and Word is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous credit control experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good negotiation skills and the confidence to have effective conversations with customers.
• Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Good analytical and numerical skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• A positive, self-motivated approach and a willingness to work as part of a team.
• The ability to build strong relationships with both customers and colleagues.
• A CICM qualification in Credit Management would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Building positive relationships with customers and understanding any issues preventing payment.

• Working closely with the Sales team to support effective account management.
• Helping to minimise bad debt and improve collection performance.

This is a great opportunity for someone with credit control experience who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and working as part of a busy, supportive team.

You’ll take responsibility for an assigned customer account base, working with customers and internal teams to resolve queries, collect overdue balances and help minimise bad debt.
