Job summary

SNAP is seeking a skilled Credit Controller in the Norwich area to manage a customer portfolio, ensure timely collections and support cash flow. The role requires strong negotiation, Excel proficiency and excellent communication, with responsibility for reporting and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and ensure timely collection.
  • Handle customer queries via telephone and email.
  • Send statements, reminder letters and payment links.
  • Contact customers to secure payment and resolve balances.
  • Monitor aged debt reports and escalate high-risk accounts.
  • Post and allocate daily incoming payments.
  • Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Perform credit checks and support credit risk assessments.
  • Produce aged debt and cash collection reports.
  • Support month-end and year-end finance processes.

Job description

As a Credit Controller, you'll play a vital role in supporting SNAP's financial performance by ensuring the timely collection of outstanding customer debt, minimising credit risk and maintaining strong customer relationships. You will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, proactively monitor aged debt, resolve payment issues and ensure compliance with company credit policies. Your work will directly contribute to healthy cash flow and support the continued growth of our business. Based in Acle, Norwich, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced credit professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and delivering results.

What you'll be doing

Previous experience in a Credit Control role

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable
  • Experience using ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of credit risk assessment and management.

  • Relevant finance qualification or studying towards one.
