This role is based in our London office. The Credit Controller will handle credit control and cash application tasks, ensuring efficient operations aligned with KPIs and expectations.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage the timely collection and allocation of funds from Vista customers, including sending payment requests, analyzing balances, and escalating bad debt issues.
- Maintain relationships with clients to facilitate efficient payments and resolve queries.
- Assess accounts regularly to minimize client exposure to debt.
- Investigate and resolve disputes to ensure prompt collection.
- Participate in client meetings regarding finance questions or issues.
- Ensure customers pay owed amounts by the due date using various payment methods.
- Negotiate payment plans with defaulting customers and initiate legal action if necessary.
- Allocate received cash daily into the business accounts.
- Ensure compliance with company credit policies, processes, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Generate reports to aid cash collection and identify problem areas.
- Recommend improvements to existing procedures and processes.
- Prepare daily and ad-hoc reports for management.
Perform other tasks as reasonably required by the Reporting Manager.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- At least 2 years' experience in Collections or Accounts Receivable.
- Experience with luxury brands or HNWI clients is highly beneficial.
- Self-motivated with leadership qualities to guide teams toward company goals.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, dynamic environment.
- Intermediate Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with SAP software is highly advantageous.
