We are seeking a skilled Credit Controller responsible for overseeing cash collection, ensuring timely payments, and mitigating financial risks on a temporary basis. The role involves working closely with our commercial and financial teams.

The position is hybrid, working in the office on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and remotely on Thursday and Friday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage daily banking activities and allocate funds to the Treasury Department.
  2. Create and maintain an aged debt report daily, updating chase information.
  3. Follow up with retailers for payments via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams meetings.
  4. Manage credit limits and perform onboarding of new retailers, including credit checks and establishing credit limits.
  5. Assess and monitor credit exposure, ensuring it remains within set limits on a daily/weekly basis.
  6. Identify disputes and queries, and follow up for resolution.
  7. Prepare refunds and write-offs with supporting documentation for approval by the Credit Manager.
  8. Report on debtors weekly to the Credit Manager and Financial Director.
  9. Perform other duties and reporting as assigned.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Proven experience as a credit controller or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams).
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working in a multi-currency environment.
