Job summary

Search Consultancy LTD in Glasgow seeks an experienced Credit Control Manager to lead the credit control function and drive process improvements. You will oversee a skilled team, optimise debt collection strategies and support cash flow forecasting.

The role requires strong Excel skills, excellent communication, and a proven track record in fast-paced environments. Hybrid working and a supportive benefits package are available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a Credit Control team.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume Credit Control environment.
• Strong Excel and general IT skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship management.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• CICM qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Ability to lead and develop a team.
• Experience improving, streamlining or automating processes.
• Ability to manage complex accounts.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop an experienced Credit Control team.
• Manage team KPIs, SLAs and overall collection performance.
• Implement effective debt collection strategies.
• Monitor and reconcile complex customer accounts.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate Credit Control processes.
• Work closely with Finance to support cash flow forecasting.
• Manage escalated accounts and complex customer queries.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Liaise with legal advisors, debt collection agencies and other third parties.
• Produce Credit Control reports and present performance to senior management.
• Manage direct debit reviews, rejected payments and associated customer communications.
• Ensure processes remain compliant with relevant legislation and best practice.
