Job summary

Foxhills Club & Resort in Ottershaw, Surrey is seeking a weekend Crèche Assistant to provide high‑quality care for children, ensure safety and deliver engaging activities in line with Ofsted guidelines.

The role is casual, weekend hours (6 per shift) with opportunities for training and career development; you will join a dedicated team and support parents while maintaining confidentiality and high hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Qualification in Childcare/Early Years or equivalent required.
• Paediatric First Aid certificate (current).
• Experience working in a crèche/childcare setting in a leadership or similar role.
• Experience working with young children and understanding child development.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care, wellbeing and education for all children in the crèche, in line with Ofsted regulations.
• Assist in managing records and childcare details for bookings.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment from arrival to departure of children.
• Supervise engaging activities appropriate to age and ability.
• Follow first aid, safety and health procedures as instructed by Crèche Supervisor.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of equipment and environment.
• Support with basic hygiene, nappy changes and toilet training.

Position: Crèche Assistant
Location: Foxhills Club & Resort, Ottershaw, Surrey
Type: Casual, 6 hours, weekend

Responsibilities:

• To provide the highest quality of care, wellbeing and education for all children in the crèche, in line with Ofsted regulations.
• Assist in managing the records and childcare details for all bookings.
• Contributing to maintaining a safe and secure environment from arrival to departure of the children.
• Supervising a variety of suitable and engaging activities for children in the crèche according to their ages and abilities.
• Following first aid, security and health and safety procedures, as instructed by the Crèche Supervisor
• Maintaining and cleaning of all equipment and maintaining excellent hygiene standards.
• Undertaking and assisting with basic hygiene, nappy changing and toilet training.
• Maintaining complete confidentiality of any information regarding children, families, volunteers or staff.
• Liaise with parents/carers in a supportive, non-judgmental manner.
• Ensuring a customer focused service is delivered, upholding and demonstrating the Foxhills Collection Values at all times -

Requirements:

• Level 3 Qualification or equivalent in Childcare/Early Years.
• Current Paediatric First Aid certificate.
• Experience of working in a crèche/childcare setting in a leadership role or similar.
• Experience of working with/caring for young children.
• Knowledge of child development and appropriate play activities for young children.
• Understanding of, and commitment to supporting parents in meeting the needs of their children.
• Competent in using the computer and Office computer packages.
• Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to partake in training sessions or course.
• Satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the DBS.
