Job summary

Caring Homes Group Ltd is seeking a Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in delivering nutritious meals for residents in a high-care environment.

You will oversee kitchen operations, mentor staff, and ensure safety, cleanliness and compliance while crafting menus that meet dietary needs and preferences. Collaboration with other departments and effective communication with residents and relatives are essential.

Qualifications

• Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing high-quality, nutritious meals.
• Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and safety standards.
• Mentor kitchen staff and foster a collaborative environment.
• Create and update menus aligned with residents' dietary needs.
• Coordinate special events and dietary accommodations with other departments.
• Communicate with residents and relatives to ensure satisfaction and needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Level 2 Food Safety certification held or in progress.
• Allergen awareness and safe handling of ingredients.
• Support and lead kitchen team during meals service.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety compliance.
