Job summary

Thomas Franks in Leeds is seeking a Sous Chef to join our breakfast and lunch operation at a fantastic B&I location. You will prepare and serve meals to high standards, maintain hygiene and safety, and support the team during busy service.

The role primarily runs Monday to Friday with Saturday breakfast offerings, plus benefits including free parking. You will be part of a leading independent contract caterer with excellent development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced catering or hospitality.
• Ability to work to high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and take responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food service areas for the day's business relating to that meal service.
• Ensure prompt service of all meals and service to company/client standards.
• Ensure methods of preparation and presentation comply with company expectations.
• Prepare, set up, serve, clear, clean and store away food, beverages or equipment for daily service.
• Prepare all food for sale/service following hygiene and safety practices.
• Restock stocks and consumables during service and pre-empt customer needs.
• Keep Front of House informed of food running out and pre-empt delays.
• Complete cleaning/hygiene duties.
• Serve customers, visitors and guests to service standards and expectations.
• To assist in placing of orders and ensure kitchen operates to health & safety regulations.
• Attend meetings and training courses as required.
• Notify head chef of stock movements for forthcoming menus.
