Senior Sous Chef | Full Time

The role:

As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspirational leader, creating a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support coaching and developing your team to excel while driving restaurant performance and delivering excellent results.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating a caring and supportive environment, celebrating successes, and nurturing talent within your team.
  • Ensuring an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards in dish preparation and team training.
  • Maintaining impeccable food, health, and safety standards; understanding financial metrics like gross profit, stock control, and labor costs.
  • Building a coaching culture, working with your Head Chef to recruit and develop your team, fostering personal and professional growth.
  • Being a proactive problem solver, able to make quick decisions on your feet.

What we look for:

  • Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, with a focus on performance and positive leadership in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to have meaningful conversations and support your team.
  • Experience in maintaining high standards of food, health, safety, and financial performance including GP and stock management.
  • Ability to manage labor costs and adapt to changing demands.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire and engage your team, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and valued.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
