Job summary

BaxterStorey in Skipton is hiring a Chef to join our busy kitchen team. You will prepare and cook dishes to our recipes, maintain food safety standards, and contribute to a positive, fast-paced work environment.

Hours are 30 per week, Monday to Friday (8:00-14:30). We offer 20 days holiday, birthday off, 26 weeks maternity leave, free meals on shift, training and development, and the chance to grow with a nationwide hospitality leader.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Chef/Cook in a busy kitchen.
• Understanding of food safety, allergens and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation – prepare and cook dishes according to the recipes and standards set by the Head Manager; ensuring food safety standards are adhered to at all times
• Great Attitude - a positive and friendly attitude is a must
• Quality Control – maintain high quality standards for all food handled, ensuring presentation and taste is considered at all times
• Team Collaboration – communicate effectively with all other team members and assist/support all colleagues where necessary
• Cleaning and Maintenance – maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen ensuring equipment is in good working order
• Organisational Skills - organisation and planning
