Greencore Group plc is seeking a Transport Manager for Hatfield, Hertfordshire. The role leads the depot team, ensuring compliant, efficient transport operations and strong customer liaison.

Applicants should hold a relevant degree or equivalent, CPC, and proven experience in transport management, budgeting, and Lean improvements. A safety-first culture and experience with telematics are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in Transport Management and strategic distribution modelling.
• Evidence of leading and engaging with geographically disbursed teams.
• Evidence of setting and managing budgets and promoting cost efficiency.
• Evidence of delivering business improvement through the application of Lean practices.
• Knowledge of telematics (ISOTRAK or equivalent).
• Highfield Level 2 or experience of building a safety-first culture.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership and direction to the transport team to engage and develop staff.
• Promote and monitor operational practices with safety and road traffic act compliance as priorities.
• Oversee vehicle fleet maintenance for compliance and cleanliness.
• Maintain close communication with Greencore sites and customers on schedules.
• Establish programmes to ensure efficient and cost-effective transport operation.
• Construct budgets and driver rosters and adjust plans with planning team.
