TeacherActive Limited is working with a mainstream Secondary School in Dudley to recruit an experienced Cover Supervisor for long-term placements and flexible day-to-day work. The role involves supervising classes across the secondary age range, delivering pre-planned work and using IT to support lesson delivery while maintaining high standards of behaviour.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar classroom-based role in a secondary school.
• Proven ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Strong IT skills including confidence with school systems and interactive whiteboards.

West Midlands/ temporary / £110 - 180 per day

Are you adaptable, reliable and able to confidently manage challenging behaviour while keeping students engaged with their learning?

The school is looking for an experienced Cover Supervisor for long-term placements, with flexible day-to-day work also available. The successful Cover Supervisor will supervise classes across the secondary age range, deliver pre-planned work, confidently manage classroom behaviour and use their strong IT skills to support lesson delivery and ensure students remain focused and engaged.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar classroom-based role within a secondary school
• Proven experience managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Strong IT skills, including confidence using school systems, interactive whiteboards and digital learning resources
• Confidence delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects
• Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills
• A flexible, reliable and proactive approach, with the ability to manage challenging situations confidently
