TeacherActive is working with a mainstream Secondary School based in Dudley to recruit an experienced Cover Supervisor. The school offers a supportive environment focused on high expectations and positive behaviour, with engagement across the Curriculum.

You will supervise classes across the secondary age range, deliver pre-planned work, manage behaviour confidently, and use IT skills to support lesson delivery and student engagement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar classroom-based role within a secondary school
• Proven experience managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Strong IT skills, including confidence using school systems, interactive whiteboards and digital learning resources
• Confidence delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects
• Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills
• A flexible, reliable and proactive approach, with the ability to manage challenging situations confidently

Do you have excellent IT skills and the confidence to use technology effectively in a secondary school classroom?

Are you adaptable, reliable and able to confidently manage challenging behaviour while keeping students engaged with their learning?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Secondary School based in Dudley. The school provides a supportive learning environment with a focus on maintaining high expectations, promoting positive behaviour and encouraging students to engage with their education.

The school is looking for an experienced Cover Supervisor for long-term placements, with flexible day-to-day work also available. The successful Cover Supervisor will supervise classes across the secondary age range, deliver pre-planned work, confidently manage classroom behaviour and use their strong IT skills to support lesson delivery and ensure students remain focused and engaged.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar classroom-based role within a secondary school

Proven experience managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining a positive learning environment

Strong IT skills, including confidence using school systems, interactive whiteboards and digital learning resources

Confidence delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects

Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills

A flexible, reliable and proactive approach, with the ability to manage challenging situations confidently
