Job summary

GSL Education is recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or experienced Cover Supervisor to work in a primary school in Loughton, 2-3 days per week. The role involves delivering lessons across EYFS to KS2, leading whole-class activities and adapting tasks for varied ages and abilities.

Applicants should have HLTA, Cover Supervisor or TA experience, with strong behaviour management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Is confident leading lessons and managing a classroom independently.
• Can work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, or has strong experience across several primary year groups.

• Deliver lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, following plans and guidance provided by the school.
• Lead whole-class learning and keep pupils engaged and on task.
• Adapt activities to suit different ages, abilities and learning needs.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Support pupils with their learning and respond to questions or difficulties during lessons.
• Work with teachers and other school staff to ensure continuity of learning.

Pay: £110-£125 per day, depending on experience

GSL Education is recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or experienced Cover Supervisor to work in a primary school in Loughton, 2-3 days per week.

This role would suit someone confident leading lessons and supporting pupils across the primary age range, from EYFS through to Key Stage 2. It is ideal for an experienced HLTA, Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant who is comfortable taking responsibility for a class and delivering lessons across different year groups.

The Role

The Ideal Candidate

• Has experience working in a primary school, ideally as an HLTA, Cover Supervisor or experienced Teaching Assistant.

• Is confident leading lessons and managing a classroom independently.

• Can work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, or has strong experience across several primary year groups.

• Has effective behaviour management and communication skills.

• Is organised, adaptable and reliable.

• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupils' welfare.

An HLTA qualification would be beneficial, but applications are also welcome from experienced Cover Supervisors and Teaching Assistants who have the confidence and relevant experience to lead lessons.
