E-ACT Royton & Crompton Academy in Oldham is seeking a Cover Supervisor to lead classes during teacher absence, maintaining a positive learning environment and supporting student progress. You will promote high standards of behaviour and encourage participation, independence, and inclusion for all learners, while tracking outcomes and feeding back to staff.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
• Experience working with children or young people in a school environment.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain positive behaviour.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate, engage, and support students to achieve their best

Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain engaged in learning activities.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a constructive learning environment in line with academy policies.
• Support students' learning, encouraging participation, independence, and inclusion for all learners.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff on achievement, behaviour, and lesson outcomes.
• Build positive relationships with students, setting high expectations and fostering a culture of success.
