Job summary

Jane Austen College, part of Inspiration Trust, is seeking a Cover Supervisor to provide high-quality class supervision when teachers are absent. The role is 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, from Monday to Friday (08:30–16:30), with a pro-rata salary on the Support Staff Pay Scale F.

You will support curriculum delivery, assist with planning and administration, and contribute to resource development while upholding safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Very good numeracy/literacy skills with GCSE grade C or NVQ 3 equivalent in Maths and English.
• Proficient use of technology to support teaching and learning.
• Experience of teaching or learning environments covering groups or classes.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality supervision of classes to cover short-term absence.
• Support general curriculum delivery including planning and administration.
• Procure and develop curriculum and enrichment resources.
• Safeguard students by following the academy's safeguarding policy.
