Job summary

Holderness Academy, part of The Consortium Academy Trust, is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join the support team. The role provides lesson and registration cover when teachers are absent and, when not needed for cover, supports teachers or undertakes administrative or welfare duties under the guidance of the Line Manager.

The successful candidate will have experience working with young people and strong classroom management, with GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or above.

• Experience of working with young people.
• Ability to establish good professional relationships with students and colleagues.
• Ability to deliver effective supervision and maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
• Organised, reliable and resilient; committed to learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide lesson and registration cover to facilitate learning during teacher absence.
• Support individual teachers or provide administrative or student welfare support when no cover is required.
• Adhere to Academy and Trust policies and procedures under guidance of Line Manager.
