Job summary

Hallfield School in Birmingham is seeking an outstanding classroom practitioner to join our team as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. Qualifications

• Must be degree qualified with relevant experience.
• HLTA qualification or QTS would be advantageous.
• Sound judgement and safeguarding responsibilities will be assessed.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes when teachers are absent and delivering lessons planned by subject specialists and form teachers.
• Helping pupils stay focused, maintain good order and ensure consistent learning.
• Providing support with break and lunch duties, marking as directed, and providing clear handovers to other teachers.
• Supporting elsewhere in the school, when teaching is not required, including as an additional adult in science, sports or practical lessons.
