Blythe Bridge High School in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking Cover Supervisors to support learning by supervising classes in the absence of teachers. The role welcomes applicants with experience in education-related or transferable roles, such as sports coaches or youth workers.

Successful candidates will hold an Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply) and demonstrate strong communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills, with a proactive approach to student development.

Qualificações

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting.
• Enhanced DBS: registered on Update Service or willing to apply for one.
• Strong communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills.
• Adaptability: capable across different subjects and classroom environments.
• Positive, proactive approach and commitment to student learning.

Responsabilidades

• Supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher.
• Ensuring students complete the work and stay focused on learning.
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Supporting students with their work and providing guidance.
• Reporting concerns to relevant staff.
• Promoting a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
• Assisting with general classroom activities as required.
