Job summary

Zest Education Ltd in Staffordshire is seeking a confident Cover Supervisor to work across secondary schools in the region. This full-time role offers a competitive daily rate depending on experience and requires the ability to supervise classes and deliver pre-planned lessons.

You will manage behaviour, support students to complete work, and contribute to a safe, positive learning environment. A recent school-based background and a willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS clearance are preferred.

Are you looking for a rewarding full-time role in education? We are seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to work across secondary schools in Staffordshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain engaged in their learning.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.
• Support students to complete the work set by teaching staff.
• Create a positive, safe, and productive learning environment.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Has experience working with young people, ideally in a school or educational setting.
• Are confident managing groups of secondary-aged students.
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Is adaptable, enthusiastic, and professional.
• Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check and relevant safeguarding clearances.
