Academics, a leading education recruitment agency based in Stoke-on-Trent, is recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors for September starts across Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and Cheshire. You will supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher and deliver pre-prepared materials.

Qualifications

• Confident and professional classroom presence.
• Ability to manage behaviour effectively and build positive relationships with students.
• Minimum of two months UK-based experience working with young people (schools, coaching, tutoring, youth work, mentoring or similar).
• Reliable, adaptable and professional approach.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a range of subjects.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Keep students engaged and focused throughout the lesson.
• Provide a brief handover to teaching staff at the end of each lesson.
