Connex Education are recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Newark. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with young people and is committed to creating a positive classroom environment where students feel encouraged, supported and motivated to succeed. As a Cover Supervisor, you will provide essential classroom support by delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher. You will help maintain continuity of learning, ensure students remain focused on their work and create a calm and purposeful environment that supports positive behaviour and achievement. The successful candidate will be confident working with students aged 11–16, able to build strong relationships and provide encouragement to help students engage with their learning. You will manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s expectations, support students with their progress and work closely with teaching staff to provide feedback following lessons. You will be organised, adaptable and approachable, with a genuine passion for supporting young people. This role would suit graduates considering a career in teaching, experienced Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants, Learning Mentors or individuals with experience working with young people within an educational or youth setting.
