Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting enthusiastic graduates to work as Cover Supervisors in Northamptonshire secondary schools from September 2026. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and support pupils in maintaining a positive learning environment.

No teaching experience is required as full training and ongoing support are provided. This role offers flexible day-to-day and longer-term assignments, a valuable stepping stone into teacher training, and broad experience

Cover Supervisor – Northamptonshire Secondary Schools

Start Date: September 2026

Are you a recent graduate considering a career in teaching? Looking to gain valuable classroom experience before starting teacher training? We are recruiting enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Northamptonshire from September 2026.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, manage classroom behaviour, and support students in maintaining a positive learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your classroom management skills, build confidence, and gain first-hand experience in secondary education.

No previous teaching experience is required. We provide full training and ongoing support, making this an ideal role for graduates who are passionate about education and eager to explore a future in teaching.

The role includes:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
