Job summary

Prospero Teaching in Darlington is seeking a Cover Supervisor to support KS3/KS4 students. The role involves delivering pre-prepared lessons, maintaining discipline, and helping pupils access learning across subjects.

You will monitor progress and collaborate with colleagues to sustain a productive classroom environment. The ideal candidate will have QTS or PGCE, be comfortable working in groups, and be able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

• QTS or PGCE desired.

• Kind, positive and proactive nature.
• Right to work in the UK.
• DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to process a new application.
• Professional child or care-related references covering the last two years.

Cover Supervisor, Darlington

We are currently recruiting on behalf of schools looking for Cover Supervisors in Darlington to work in the KS3 and KS4 settings. Your role will be focused on maintaining excellent classroom behaviour and supporting students across a range of subjects.

About the role

• Managing behaviours within the classroom and building positive relationships with the pupils, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to succeed.

• Working collaboratively with other teaching and support staff.

Pay, hours and contract

• Pay: Up to £120 per day
• Hours: 8:30am - 15:30pm, Monday - Friday
• Contract: Full time, temporary with the potential of going permanent
• Start date: September 2026
• Location: Darlington
