Job summary

TeacherActive Limited in Middlesbrough is recruiting a confident Cover Supervisor to support pupils aged 11-16 across KS3/KS4. You will manage lessons, maintain positive behaviour and help pupils stay engaged with their learning.

This role offers day-to-day placements with potential long-term opportunities, flexible working patterns, and access to CPD courses and a supportive consultant team.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification or degree is desirable.
• Experience working with young people aged 11-16 in an educational or similar setting.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A confident and adaptable approach to supervising different subjects.
• A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to support pupils' learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lessons across KS3/KS4 and manage classroom behaviour.
• Ensure pupils remain engaged with their learning throughout the lesson.

Salary: £100 - £120 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and supportive secondary school based in Middlesbrough, who are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor. The school provides an encouraging learning environment where pupils are supported in their academic development and staff are committed to maintaining positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom.

The school is looking to take on a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor on a day-to-day basis, with opportunities for long-term placements for the right candidate. The successful Cover Supervisor will be working across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, supervising lessons across a variety of subjects, managing classroom behaviour and ensuring pupils remain engaged with their learning.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• A relevant qualification or degree is desirable
