TeacherActive is recruiting a confident Cover Supervisor for a welcoming secondary school in Newcastle who focuses on supporting pupils’ academic development and positive classroom engagement.

You will cover lessons across KS3/KS4, supervise a range of subjects, and use strong behaviour management to maintain high standards of learning. The role offers day-to-day flexibility with potential longer-term placements for the right candidate.

Qualifications

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and supportive secondary school based in Newcastle, who are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor. The school provides an encouraging learning environment where pupils are supported in their academic development and staff are committed to maintaining positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom.

The school is looking to take on a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor on a day-to-day basis, with opportunities for long-term placements for the right candidate. The successful Cover Supervisor will be working across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, supervising lessons across a variety of subjects, managing classroom behaviour and ensuring pupils remain engaged with their learning.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• A relevant qualification or degree is desirable
• Experience working with young people aged 11-16 in an educational or similar setting
• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A confident and adaptable approach to supervising different subjects
• A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to support pupils' learning and development
