Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a confident Cover Supervisor to support pupils in Merthyr Tydfil from September 2026.

You will supervise pupils across KS3 and KS4, delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining a calm, productive classroom environment while supporting student progression in a busy secondary setting.

Competitive daily rate (£100-£120) with access to CPD and consultant support.

• Previous experience working with children or young people
• Strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills

TeacherActive is proud to be working with supportive mainstream secondary schools throughout Merthyr Tydfil. We are looking for confident, resilient and reliable Cover Supervisors to provide classroom support from September.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise pupils across KS3 and KS4 and deliver work that has already been prepared by teaching staff. You will play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning while creating a calm and productive classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working with children or young people
• Strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills
