Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Newport, South Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers and anyone with leadership or group-management experience to build a career in education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll supervise pre-planned lessons, support pupils with their work and help create a calm, positive classroom environment. The role can suit full-time or part-time availability during the new academic year.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people is desirable.
• Graduates in Education or Psychology welcome.
• Strong leadership or group-management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and instructions.
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Support pupils with their learning where required.
• Encourage students to remain focused and engaged.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
