Job summary

The Supply Register, in partnership with Birley Academy in Sheffield, is recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support pupils and maintain high-quality learning during teacher's absence.

This role is suited to experienced supervisors, graduates, aspiring teachers, and individuals with experience working with young people who can confidently lead a classroom. DBS update or willingness to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils.
• Confidence leading a classroom independently.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes across a range of secondary school subjects.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials in the teacher's absence.
• Maintain positive classroom behaviour and pupil engagement.
• Support students with learning activities and keep them on task.
• Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies.
• Provide feedback on pupil progress and classroom behaviour.

The Supply Register Secondary School Flexible Supply Opportunities

The Supply Register is working in partnership with Birley Academy in Sheffield to recruit confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support pupils and maintain high-quality learning during teacher's absence.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors, graduates, aspiring teachers and individuals with experience working with young people who are confident leading a classroom.
