Job summary

CER Education is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to support a variety of secondary schools across Sheffield and the surrounding areas. This role offers flexible hours, a chance to gain valuable classroom experience and the opportunity to make a positive impact on young people's education.

You will oversee classes during short-term absences, deliver pre-prepared lessons, manage behaviour and support pupils including those with additional learning needs.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in a school, coaching, tutoring, mentoring or youth work setting.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Confidence leading groups of students aged 11-16.
• A positive, adaptable and professional attitude.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of secondary school subjects
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Encouraging student engagement and participation
• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs, including SEN requirements
• Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment

CER Education is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to support a variety of secondary schools across Sheffieldand the surrounding areas. About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged and on task with pre-planned work.
