Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support Nottingham secondary schools starting September. You will deliver classroom cover during teacher absences, supervise lessons with pre-prepared materials, and maintain student engagement.

The role offers flexible day-to-day work with potential longer placements for the right candidate. You will be confident, adaptable and able to build strong relationships with students and staff, with access to dedicated consultants

Qualifications

• At least 6 months' experience working within a UK education setting.
• Experience supporting students within a secondary school environment.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Confidence delivering pre-set work across a range of subjects.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A flexible, reliable, and professional approach.

TeacherActive is working in partnership with a range of secondary schools across Nottingham that are looking to appoint confident and reliable Cover Supervisors for September starts. These schools offer supportive leadership teams, positive working environments, and excellent opportunities for individuals looking to develop their experience in education.

We are recruiting a Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools across Nottingham by delivering classroom cover during teacher absence. The successful Cover Supervisor will supervise lessons using pre-prepared materials, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and ensure students remain engaged in their learning. This Cover Supervisor role offers flexible day-to-day work, with the potential to move into longer-term placements for the right candidate. The ideal Cover Supervisor will be confident, adaptable, and able to build strong working relationships with both students and staff.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• At least 6 months' experience working within a UK education setting
• Experience supporting students within a secondary school environment
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Confidence delivering pre-set work across a range of subjects
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A flexible, reliable, and professional approach
