Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting for an experienced Cover Supervisor in Nottingham for a full-time, long-term position with an immediate start. You will deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects, manage challenging behaviours and maintain a productive learning environment throughout the school day.

The role requires strong classroom management, KS3/KS4 supervision, and excellent communication. The position offers market-rate pay and ongoing professional support through TeacherActive.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification or degree is desirable
• Previous experience working in a secondary school environment
• Proven experience of effective classroom management and managing challenging behaviour
• Confidence in supervising classes across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A resilient, adaptable and proactive approach to supporting students

Are you an experienced Cover Supervisor who can engage and motivate students in a secondary school environment? Do you have the resilience, adaptability and confidence to maintain a positive learning environment? TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school based in Nottingham, who are looking to appoint an experienced Cover Supervisor. The school requires a confident and resilient individual who can manage challenging behaviour effectively and maintain high expectations within the classroom. The school is looking to take on a Cover Supervisor on a full-time, long-term basis, starting immediately. The successful Cover Supervisor will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, managing classroom behaviour, maintaining a focused learning environment and ensuring students remain engaged and on task throughout the school day.

Responsibility & Requirements
