Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across Bromsgrove and the surrounding areas. You will supervise classes in the absence of teachers, deliver pre-set work and help pupils stay engaged with learning.

The roles include day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities with potential progression into permanent positions for the right candidate. Successful applicants will have experience with secondary pupils and strong behaviour management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting.
• Confidence managing classes of secondary-aged pupils across KS3 and KS4.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow pre-set lesson plans and instructions.
• Proactive, reliable and flexible with safeguarding commitment.

Responsibilities

We are looking to recruit Cover Supervisors for a variety of day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities, with the potential for permanent positions for the right candidates. The successful Cover Supervisor will supervise whole classes during teacher absences, deliver pre-set work, manage behaviour effectively and ensure students remain engaged with their learning.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting
• Confidence managing classes of secondary-aged pupils across KS3 and KS4
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to follow pre-set lesson plans and instructions
