Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a mainstream Secondary School in South Warwickshire, seeking a Cover Supervisor to support learning and maintain engagement across the secondary age range. The role involves delivering pre-planned work, supervising classes, and applying strong behaviour management in a flexible, long-term placement.

There is on-site work with opportunities for ongoing assignments and CPD through TeacherActive’s My-Progression platform.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Confidence delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

The school is looking for a Cover Supervisor for long‑term placements, with flexible day‑to‑day work also available. The successful Cover Supervisor will supervise classes across the secondary age range, deliver pre-planned work, manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain focused and engaged with their learning.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Confidence delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A flexible and adaptable approach
