Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting experienced FLT Operators to support a flagship site in a fast-paced manufacturing and logistics environment. You will operate counterbalance forklifts with clamp attachments, moving materials between production areas, storage, and loading docks.

Candidates with expired or in-house licences are welcome. Strong safety awareness, attention to detail, and reliability are essential for consistent shift work and timely inventory movements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an FLT / Forklift Operator.
• Experience operating counterbalance forklifts preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

• Excellent hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading goods and deliveries.

Our globally recognised client is actively expanding its operations team and is now recruiting experienced FLT Operators to support continued growth at this flagship site.

Main Details:

• Hourly Rate: £14.41 per hour (Monday to Friday)
• Enhanced Rate: £19.48 per hour (Friday after 10pm – Until Sunday 10pm)
• Location: Tadcaster, LS24
• Working Pattern: 3–5 days or nights per week (rota issued weekly in advance on Thursdays)

Shift Pattern: 12-hour Shifts

• 06:00am - 18:00pm
• 18:00pm - 06:00am

Flexibility with days and nights is essential

The Role

This role is ideal for candidates with previous FLT experience, including those with expired or in-house licences, looking to return to active forklift operations. You will be operating a counterbalance forklift in a fast-paced manufacturing and logistics environment, maintaining the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency. The role involves the use of counterbalance trucks fitted with clamp attachments to handle goods safely and securely.

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the movement of materials using counterbalance equipment between production areas, storage locations, and loading docks, ensuring smooth operational flow at all times.
