Job summary

Meridian Business Support is recruiting for a Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver in Carrington (M31). The role runs Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 10:00pm, with immediate start and long-term temporary status. You will operate a Counterbalance FLT, load/unload vehicles, and move stock within a busy warehouse.

This is a consistent afternoon/evening shift with regular hours and no weekend work. Pay is £15.00 per hour (£562.50 gross per week based on 37.5 hours).

Qualifications

Meridian Business Support are currently recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver to join a busy warehouse and logistics operation in Carrington, M31.

This is a long-term temporary position paying £15.00 per hour, working Monday to Friday, 2:00pm-10:00pm.

That's £562.50 gross per week based on a 37.5-hour working week.

The Role

Working as part of a busy warehouse and logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of stock, pallets and materials around the site.

Your main duties will include:

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Moving pallets, stock and materials around the warehouse and yard.
• Loading and storing goods in designated areas.
• Preparing goods and materials for dispatch.
• Checking deliveries and stock where required.
• Moving materials safely around the site.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.
• Completing relevant warehouse paperwork and documentation.
• Keeping the warehouse and working areas clean, tidy and organised.
• Working as part of a team to meet daily operational targets.
• Supporting with general warehouse duties when required.

About You

To be considered for this Counterbalance FLT Driver position, you will need:

• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence - essential.
• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT.
• Previous warehouse, logistics or industrial experience.
• A good understanding of workplace health and safety.
• Good reliability and timekeeping.
• ! The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and a positive attitude.
