Job summary

QS Recruitment is seeking experienced Forklift Counterbalance Drivers to join a busy logistics operation on an ongoing agency basis. You will support movement and storage of goods within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include operating a Counterbalance forklift, loading/unloading vehicles, moving pallets, and assisting with stock control. Shift patterns vary; overtime is available at enhanced rates, with weekly pay and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT or equivalent).
• Experience operating a Counterbalance forklift in a warehouse/logistics setting.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles.
• Move pallets and stock around the warehouse.
• Stack and store goods in designated locations.
• Assist with stock control and inventory movements.

Overview

We are currently recruiting experienced Forklift Counterbalance Drivers to join a busy logistics operation through an agency. This is an ongoing role within a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment, supporting the movement and storage of goods.

Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Moving pallets and stock throughout the warehouse
• Stacking and storing goods in designated locations
• Assisting with stock control and inventory movements
• Supporting general warehouse duties when required
• Carrying out daily forklift safety checks
• Following all company health and safety procedures and site regulations

Contract, Hours and Benefits

• Duration: Ongoing, long-term agency assignment. Regular weekly work available. Potential for extended placements based on performance and business needs. Opportunity to secure long-term opportunities within the logistics sector
• Contract Type: Temporary
• Hourly Rate: £12.71 per hour
• Overtime available at enhanced rates (subject to client requirements)
• Weekly pay (depending on agency payroll terms)

Working Hours

• Shift availability will depend on site requirements and may include:
• Early shifts: 06:00 – 14:00
• Day shifts: 08:00 – 16:00
• Late shifts: 14:00 – 22:00
• Night shifts: 22:00 – 06:00 (where available)
• Flexibility is required as shift patterns may vary depending on operational demand
