Job summary

Mitie is seeking a professional Reception Security Officer for a busy corporate office in Norwich. You will combine front-of-house reception with security duties to welcome employees, visitors, and contractors, maintaining safety and high service standards.

As the first point of contact, you will manage visitor access, support daily security operations, and work with the security team to deliver an exceptional customer experience while adhering to site SOPs.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Licence.
• Previous experience in security, reception, or customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors and manage the reception desk.
• Maintain accurate records and provide excellent customer service.
• Support day-to-day security operations.
• Conduct visitor, contractor, and employee ID checks.
• Issue visitor passes and manage access control procedures.
• Monitor CCTV and report incidents.
• Carry out routine panic alarm tests and respond to activations.
• Conduct security and reception checks in line with site SOPs.
