Based in our Salford office, the Collections Coodinator – GBS Shared Services EMEA will be part of a wider team responsible for the collection activities for all Matthews International entities in Europe falling within the GBS (Global Business Services) team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Corresponding and chasing customers for payment for sales invoices due utilizing FSCM Collections

· Allocating cash received in SAP

· Reconciling and issuing statements to customers

· Reviewing customer credit levels including reviewing credit reports and using FSCM Credit Management

· Supporting the business with custom customer data reports where required

· Assisting with doubtful debts provision calculations

· Ensure processes carried out are in accordance with SOX compliance and assist with statutory audit requests

· Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

· AAT qualified/student or similar level of knowledge/experience

· Experience in similar accounting role (12 months+)

· Extensive experience with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Microsoft Excel

· Knowledge and prior use of SAP preferable

· Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

· Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment

· Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Proficient in English language (written & verbal)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

· Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required

· Hybrid working – 2 days in the office per week
