Springcare is recruiting a Cook to join our kitchen team across our residential and nursing homes in the UK. You will prepare and serve home-cooked meals, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety while supporting a compassionate care environment.
Experience in a care setting is an advantage. A Basic/Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate is required, and DBS checks plus right-to-work evidence are mandatory for this role.
Here is what one of our valued Cooks said- “It gives me a great sense of satisfaction to know that our residents enjoy home cooked food keeping a sense of familiarity in their lives”.
We are a family run group of Residential and Nursing homes in Shropshire, Cheshire and The Wirral and we want you to join our Springcare family. We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer, who strives to provide a healthy and respectful work culture.
Do you enjoy being creative and have a passion for serving delicious, home cooked food? Well, we are now recruiting for a hard working committed cook to join the Kitchen team.
Reporting to the Home Manager the successful applicant will be an organised and helpful leader in a busy kitchen environment. You will be responsible for organising, preparing, and serving appetising and freshly produced food, whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and health and safety.
Key to your success in this role will be your experience within the food industry, along with the ability to be part of a strong team in the kitchen. Experience in a care setting would be an advantage but not essential.
Successful applicants would require two written references, a standard/enhanced DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) (depending on role) and evidence of a right to work in the UK check.
Springcare are committed to safe and fair recruitment, safeguarding, and protecting those we care for and serve. We make sure all our staff are vetted, selected, trained, and supervised fairly and to a high standard so that they can provide safe, effective, and compassionate care.
