Job summary

Springcare Care Homes Ltd is looking for a dedicated Cook to join our Kitchen team in our care homes across Shropshire, Cheshire and The Wirral. You will prepare and serve home-cooked meals, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and food safety in a supportive team environment.

You will report to the Home Manager and play a key role in maintaining a warm, home-from-home dining experience for residents. Two references and DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Basic or Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate.
• Knowledge of textured/modified diets would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Home Manager, you will be an organised leader in a busy kitchen, organising, preparing and serving appetising, freshly produced food while upholding cleanliness and health and safety.
• Experience in a care setting is advantageous but not essential.

Duties and Responsibilities.

Reporting to the Home Manager the successful applicant will be an organised and helpful leader in a busy kitchen environment. You will be responsible for organising, preparing, and serving appetising and freshly produced food, whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and health and safety.

Key to your success in this role will be your experience within the food industry, along with the ability to be part of a strong team in the kitchen. Experience in a care setting would be an advantage but not essential.

What are we looking for?

Successful applicants would require two written references, a standard/enhanced DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) (depending on role) and evidence of a right to work in the UK check.
