Job Opening: Cook at The Willows Care Home

Our soon-to-open care home, The Willows, is looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team. The role involves cooking for residents from Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 3 pm.

The Cook plays a vital role in our team by providing nutritious, hearty meals for our service users.

About the role

Nutrition is a key aspect of our care, and as a Cook, you will ensure dietary and cultural requirements are met, contributing to the wellbeing of our service users.

Responsibilities

• Preparing nutritious meals in accordance with guidelines and requirements
• Daily cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and equipment
• Maintaining inventory of kitchen supplies and equipment
• Applying knowledge of HACCP and current food safety regulations
• Engaging with service users to reflect their food preferences
• Holding Food Hygiene Level 2 certification
• Previous experience in food preparation within a commercial, domestic, hospital, or care setting
• Having a warm, approachable personality to engage with service users and vulnerable adults
