Job summary

Arvato Corby is seeking a Control Tower Operator to join our fast-paced logistics team and ensure smooth, efficient operations. You will monitor activities, coordinate workflows, and resolve issues across warehousing, transport, and planning to meet service levels and customer requirements.

The role requires organised, proactive individuals with experience in logistics and SAP WMS. This permanent, onsite position offers standard hours and a structured work environment in Corby.

Qualifications

• Experience in a logistics, warehouse, transport, or supply chain environment.
• WMS SAP experience is essential.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Good IT skills, especially Excel and other systems.
• Ability to analyse information and identify issues quickly.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Calm and professional under pressure.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily operational activity and performance across the site.
• Coordinate and prioritise workflows to support smooth operation.
• Identify issues, delays and exceptions and take action in SAP WMS.
• Work with warehouse, transport, planning and management to resolve issues.
• Monitor KPIs and data, highlight trends needing attention.
• Maintain accurate records and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Assist investigations and resolution of operational problems.
• Ensure processes and procedures are followed consistently.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.

Job Description

Location: Arvato Corby
Salary: Up to £30,293.62 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Contract: Permanent
Working pattern: Fully onsite

Are you organised, analytical and confident working in a fast-paced logistics environment? Arvato is looking for a Control Tower Operator to join our Corby team and play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently.

As a Control Tower Operator, you’ll act as a central point of coordination, monitoring operational activity, identifying issues and working with colleagues across the operation to ensure service levels and customer requirements are consistently achieved.

What you’ll be doing:

• Monitor daily operational activity and performance across the site.
• Coordinate and prioritise workflows to support the smooth running of the operation.
• Identify operational issues, delays and exceptions and take appropriate action within our SAP WMS system.
• Work closely with warehouse, transport, planning and management teams to resolve issues.
• Monitor KPIs and operational data, highlighting trends and areas requiring attention.
• Maintain accurate records and provide clear and timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Support the investigation and resolution of operational problems.
• Ensure processes and procedures are followed consistently.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and solution-focused, with excellent attention to detail.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in a logistics, warehouse, transport, supply chain or environment.
• Experience on WMS SAP- essential
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and other operational systems.
• The ability to analyse information and identify issues quickly.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• A calm and professional approach when working under pressure.
• The confidence to communicate with colleagues at all levels.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
