Amey in Treforest, Wales, seeks a Permanent Control Systems Technician to join the AIW/IM team. On-site, 40 hours per week, with responsibilities including maintenance, fault finding, and leadership of a small team on the Core Valley Lines project.

You will support safe, efficient delivery of work, maintain standards, and ensure staff competency. A strong background in Signalling and Telecoms and an IRSE license are preferred.

Competenze

• Knowledge of Signalling and Telecoms faulting, maintenance and renewal techniques.
• Experience arranging safe systems of work and controlling delivery of work.
• Able to lead and motivate a team and communicate effectively.

Mansioni

• Carry out work safely following SMS/SMTH standards.
• Undertake maintenance and renewal tasks on signalling and telecoms equipment.
• Attend faults and investigate and rectify issues.
• Control quality and ensure assets comply with standards.
• Verify competencies of staff under supervision.
• Ensure vehicles and tools are fit for use and properly stored.
• Calibrate test equipment and maintain records of work.
• Report all work completed or not completed.
