Job summary

Amey Ltd. in Treforest is seeking a Permanent Assistant Buildings & Civils Engineer to support inspection, maintenance and project works across CVL assets.

The role offers hybrid work with at least two days a week in office/site and the chance to contribute to Wales’ flagship Core Valley Lines project. You will assist in planning, asset renewals and data analysis, driving safety, reliability and efficiency while promoting a strong safety culture and compliant practices.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND in Civil or Structures Engineering and professional qualification (or working towards)
• Experience in railway buildings & civil structures maintenance or assessment
• Familiar with safety, quality and environmental procedures

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of annual maintenance plans within budget
• Support asset renewal remits and inspections across CVL infrastructure
• Identify and implement safety, asset performance and efficiency improvements
• Assist with management assurance compliance and stakeholder relations
• Manage and analyse MAXIMO asset data and liaise with CAFA team
• Support abnormal load requests supervision and coordination
