Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is recruiting for a Control Room Manager to join the Mountain Warehouse operation in Peterborough, working 08:00 to 16:30.

This role leads the Control Room to optimise performance, leveraging real-time data and collaboration across operations, engineering and technology teams. The position drives the automation journey, guiding the team through change and delivering continuous improvement in a highly automated distribution centre.

Qualifications

• Proven operational leadership experience within a fast-paced logistics, warehousing, manufacturing or automated environment.
• Experience working with automation, advanced systems or technology-driven operations.
• Strong analytical capability, with experience using data to drive decisions and improve performance.
• Demonstrable experience leading teams through change, transformation or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate and build strong relationships across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Control Room function, making real-time operational decisions to optimise workflow and maximise system performance.
• Act as the central point of coordination between operations, engineering and automation teams, managing escalations and resolving challenges.
• Analyse operational and automation data to identify trends and translate insight into actions that drive performance improvements.
• Support the ongoing automation journey by embedding new technologies and refining processes.
• Build and develop a high-performing Control Room team with a culture of continuous improvement and data-led decision-making.
