Job summary

North Wales Police is offering a Control Room Apprentice role to provide general administration and support. The position offers a solid grounding in customer service within the Force and progression toward an NVQ level 2 in Customer Service.

The training will include general administration in the designated business area within North Wales Police. The role involves handling calls, directing callers, operating the switchboard fault reporting system, and supporting Major Incident responses as

Qualifications

• IT skills and an understanding of Microsoft Office or similar IT packages.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Self-motivated and flexible with a positive attitude.
• 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above (Maths and English) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service to members of the public.
• Answer calls at a centralised switchboard and direct callers promptly.
• Operate the switchboard fault reporting system as required.
• Support Control Room Operations during Major Incident situations.
• Receive and transmit data and messages using Force Systems.
• Work closely with team members to support various functions.
