We are looking for a qualified Solicitor with substantial experience in this area of law and practice. This role offers an opportunity to develop and enhance your skills while undertaking quality and varied work.
You will work as part of a team of Contract Lawyers to provide proactive legal advice on issues including, but not limited to, Public Contract Regulations, Company law, Subsidy Control, NEC and JCT construction Contracts, and general contract queries. You will handle a full, varied, and demanding caseload.
Senior Lawyers will play an active role in team management. You will be expected to deputise for the Principal Solicitor and contribute to delivering first-class legal services.

This role involves managing a team of lawyers, providing leadership, supervision, and expert legal advice to the County Council, its members, officers, and committees.
You will contribute to the wider management of Legal Services and exemplify the council's values and behaviors.
You will manage a demanding caseload and deliver solutions with minimal supervision.
The role supports reducing reliance on external legal support and may involve advocacy. You will also assist the Monitoring Officer in legal compliance matters and contribute to staff training on legal issues.
